"A Good Man Is Hard To Find"
"A Good Man Is Hard To Find" is a short story, written by Flannery O’Connor set in the old south. The individual values of the characters are shaped by this setting and time, with a major emphasis on the Christian faith. This story begins with a southern family from Georgia leaving home to take a trip to Florida. The two main characters, the Grandmother and The Misfit, meet in a strange twist of fate, but its this interaction that brings alive their separate values and the unique way they are connected by faith, or the lack of it. The Grandmother is a stubborn, pristine woman who "sticks to her roots." She relies on her image as a lady, a good Christian woman who lives according to old fashion values.
