A/D Position Announcement Analysis The first advertisement I chose was Mid Level .NET Developer. I found it interesting imagining myself working with one of the leaders in the financial services industry. This stood out to me since I do have an average amount of experience with SQL from CIS 305. However, we worked with SQL Plus, not SQL Server. Therefore, this intrigued me since I would like to learn more about SQL Server. Also, I have meaning to take Visual Basic.NET, C++, and C# classes for some time now. Since I have taken both beginning and intermediate Java classes here at Cal Poly, I would like other programming languages as well. I plan to obtain these skills before I graduate through classes, books, and tutorials. The second advertisement I chose was the Oracle Software Engineer. I thought it would be to work for an influential publisher like CTB/Mcgrall-Hill, who is one of the leaders of standardized achievement tests for children and adults. I chose this ad because it reminded me of my experience in CIS 305.
