FIRST DAY IN US.
Many people feel like an outsider when they are put in a place or situation where they do not belong. Sometimes they do not belong somewhere but are not familiar with the settings. I have been taught this experience of being an outsider when I was twelve. This happened a couple of years ago when I moved to the United states from India and started as 7th grader. The whole environment was foreign to me because everything was different from the way the teachers taught and the way students behaved. I was surprised by the fact I did not have to wear uniform everyday to school and students went to different classes from different subjects instead of the teacher coming to one classroom. I remember the first day of school was extremely nerve wrecking. I could just picture myself all along with how unfriendly faces glancing my way. As I got of the bus and walked inside the school to my first class, I realized how close to reality that mental picture was.
