Failure is something that everyone knows about. Everyone has tried to do some thing that they were unable to do. Everyone has fallen short of a goal they have set for themselves. Americans need to stop looking at failure as a bad thing and start seeing it as a building block to success. How many stories can be told of some one who had a dream, a real goal, but failed miserably before they finally succeeded? Albert Einstein was described as mentally slow and was denied admission to a technical school. Winston Churchill flunked the sixth grade and was defeated in every election for public office before finally becoming the Prime Minister of England at age 62. The difference in these people and many Americans is that they were willing to embrace their failures and grow from them. You cannot deny success by being too afraid to try something. You fail and you don’t like it. But failure is the way of the world. Learning how to live with failure is one of the most important tasks in your life.
