Marat Gataoullin FAMLF 100 section 004 Application Experience Sanctity of Life –Abortion What is life and why is it sacred? Are we here by chance, or is this life’s existence a part of the divine plan of our Heavenly Father? Trying to answer these questions in regards to this class assignment I recall and portray a discussion with my friend Larisa, which I had a couple of years ago while still in Russia Larisa made the decision to have an abortion, and we talked long and hard about it. In my paper I will try to present both sides of the opinions and endorse my point of view through the doctrine and teachings of the Church Jesus of Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As the main reasons for my friend Natalie why she wanted to quite pregnancy were her financial and domestic situation, luck of preparation and willingness to have a child, and not having a father after the birth of the child. Marat: Have you ever seen babies or better to say unborn babies who have been aborted? Larisa: Yes, there are sad but if you think about their lives and they are going to suffer here without adequate nourish and love of the father it might be better that their lives were ended quickly and so early. Marat: Are you saying that we should legalize abortion and close our eyes on what is going on here in Russia and all around the world? Larisa: No I am only trying to persuade you that the law should stand that if a woman is seeking an abortion that she would have a safe and legal place for it to be performed. Many women have either lost their lives or had many complications for seeking out illegal abortions. By no means should a woman use abortion as a means of birth control, but she should have the right to choose when she brings a life into this world. Marat: Do you fully understand that the abortion is against the laws of God?
