BEYOND HUMANS Well, ever remember those frightening Frankenstein movies. The dark gully man in an old cathedral trying to raise a man from the dead, a bolt of lightening from the heavens strikes his rattling mysterious instruments and just there in an instance a dead man's flesh has life. Considering the era we live in, this seems to be fiction but Man has always dreamt. Dreams are a basis to requirement and this leads us towards the path to find new ways and new ideas to fulfill our dreams. This is the basis of life today. Technology is being used in all spheres of life, but how about using it to govern what we, say life itself? The Idea may be absurd but history is evident that ideas of this type became the most happening events of all times. Imagine the birth of a human as of today. And now imagine the birth of a human in future, the parents have the technology to decide what type of kid they want, by this I mean they can not only decide the sex of the child but its color, features, looks, personality, intelligence etc. and add to this the feature to know how it looks like at any age even before he is born, well what do we call this Human customization or Human programming; women won't have to be pregnant, her role is taken over by an artificial womb, "The Human Generator", Its input would be the genetic information from the parents, It would then synthesize the required genetic materials according to their preferences and transfer them to cultured cells from the parents, these modified cells would then grow inside this generator throughout its gestation period. Time could be near when all the reproductive functions of humans would be taken over by such machines. Well this could be fiction to you but this is fast becoming reality.
