A Stranger Among Us In the movie, "A Stranger Among Us", a rude police officer, Emily is forced to live in the Hasadic community in order for her to solve a murder. Emily discovers that the Hasadic Jews have high ethical and moral standards, unlike her. Everything that the Hasadic Jews do is for the Rebbe, he tells them how to live their lives. When Emily first enters the Jewish community, everyone stares at her because of the way she dresses. Jewish woman are supposed to wear long clothing with long sleeves, but emily was wearing a short skirt and a short sleeved blouse.
