The site was tested by 21 participants each with varying experience with computers. The participants were made up of 10 Males and 11 females. The tasks they were set tested whether they were able to retrieve certain pieces of information from the website and to see if they knew how to upload work to the server as it was a requirement of the course. They were also asked to perform one of the tasks without the use of a mouse to test the sites functionality from a disabled persons point of view. As well as doing the tasks the participants were asked to answer some questions on their previous experience with computers and the Internet and at the end were asked if they had any problems with answering the tasks. The average time for completing all the tasks was 10Minutes 29 Seconds with a standard deviation of 4Minutes 51 Seconds. The mean completion rate of all the tasks by the participants was 67.46% with a standard deviation of 18.62%. Finally the mean completion rate for each individual task was 67.2% with a standard deviation of 24.79%. 2 Introduction 2.1 Full Product Description The product is the MU104 Digital Media Design website that is used by Multimedia students at the University of Gloucestershire. The product will be evaluated on the sections of the website that provide assignment information, lecture information, contact details for the lecturers and the ability to upload students portfolio work. The environment required for this website is a computer with internet capabilities running Internet Explorer version 4 or higher with a screen resolution of at least 800 x 600. 2.2 Test Objectives The objectives of the test was to find out how easy the users found it to navigate through the website and to find out certain pieces of information that they would need if they were doing the course.
