Saint Thomas (Descriptive Essay)
As the alarm goes off at five a.m. Katie and I lay in her fluffy pink bed not wanting to get up. A few minutes later we hear her jolly father yelling for us to get out of bed. It was going to be a long morning. Slowly, Katie and I get up and go down her soft white stairs towards the kitchen for one of Katie’s mom’s famous bagel and creme cheese with a cold glass of orange juice. After breakfast Katie’s family and I lug our bags out to the cold Saab with leather seats. We were getting ready to depart to St. Thomas for February vacation. On the way to the airport Katie and I snuggle together trying to keep warm on this cold winter morning in Maine. Soon, we would be at the airport and on our way to an exotic place in the Caribbean. The plane was loud and rather bumpy, but it was well worth it.
